    2024 GMC Acadia Towing Capacity

    The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia has been redesigned to be more capable than ever before, including with increased towing capacity. For 2024, the all-new GMC Acadia uses a new 2.5L turbocharged I-4 engine that is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission to produce up to 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque. With this powertrain, the 2024 GMC Acadia is rated for a maximum towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds.

    All 2024 GMC Acadia models come with a new standard 2.5L turbocharged I-4 engine with a GM-estimated 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive, the all-new GMC Acadia is expected to be more fuel efficient as well, but official EPA estimates haven’t yet been released.

    As the most capable ever, the 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 is built for off-road adventures with new equipment upgrades, such as an off-road-tuned suspension with a 1.0-inch lifted ride height, Hill Descent Control, red tow hooks and 18-inch gloss-black painted aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires. AT4’s exclusive Active Torque Control AWD System distributes torque with a 70/30 front-rear split and shifts to a 50/50 distribution with the Terrain mode—which is included with the Traction Select System—that improves the twin-clutch rear differential.

    The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia has been fully redesigned with three spacious rows of seating for up to seven or eight passengers and an expanded max cargo room of nearly 24% more overall than the previous-generation model—or 36.3% more max storage behind the second row and a massive 79.6% more behind the third row. Exact EPA estimates haven’t been released yet.

    The new GMC Acadia’s 7-passenger models come with second-row flat-folding captain’s chairs with Smart Slide, while the luxurious Denali model has key features like third-row power-folding seats and second-row one-touch folding seats for easy access to the cargo area.
